Receiving information
Sometimes, the mere act of writing to someone puts you on their mailing list. Or worse, nothing at all occurs, but there you are, receiving all sorts of announcements about things you’d rather not think about, or at least haven’t asked to think about. Sometimes even friends do this to each other, because, after all, they’re friends, but the messages are not written the way friends would talk to each other.
If you haven’t signed up for my mailing list, you’ll notice you haven’t received any emails from me. If you have, they were to you only, not to a list that included you. I think this is the best way for everyone.
If you know me, and assume that it’s a matter of time before I add you to my mailing list, you shouldn’t, because I won’t. If you’d like to hear a bit more than what’s on this site, and even things that might pertain directly to your geographic area (zip code is requested for sign-up), then please sign up. The messages are very infrequent, and I hope they are received with more interest than the ones that show up in your inbox uninvited.
