confusion and other opportunities
There are many puzzle pieces trying to fit together right now. They all look like they have the correct imagery to match up, or the right shapes to fit, but it’s hard to be certain.
Instead of moving forward blindly, I’m trying to stick to what feels right in the face of confusion, because then, even if it’s not the best decision in hindsight, it still felt better to experience than the thought of the alternatives.
Last night I watched a program about happiness, and what makes people happy. There was an incredible story told about a POW prisoner in Vietnam who was captured and extremely abused, then held in solitary confinement for 8 years. During that confinement, he developed a tapping system to communicate with the prisoner on the other side of the wall. They exchanged French lessons, biology discussions, and ideas for building a house – things others might think useless in the face of such adversity.
Most of us don’t have such adversity right now. Yet, it can still seem like sometimes it’s difficult to focus on the most positive element we have. It should be easy to focus on what feels best. A clear path through the confusion.
