Each creative project contains a wide range of internal work, work that connects dots between ideas, understanding, and insight. It develops empathy, imagination, and self-discovery. The work being done on the surface, the project itself, rarely reflects the results that happen on the inside, it barely represents it. Instead, it usually reveals something else.

Giving, the new record from Collections of Colonies of Bees (and my last with them) will be released via Hometapes on LP/CD/digi on August 2nd.

Many years ago, I became acquainted with Dan Warburton when I started my record label Crouton. Soon after, he started a magazine called Paris Transatlantic, which I read and sent review copies of my releases to for years. Eventually, I released a piece of Dan’s violin work, and we’ve kept in touch since. [...]

My final shows with the band Collections of Colonies of Bees were late 2010 in Japan. Our friends at Contrarede took some video at our Tokyo concert. The track featured here is from the group’s forthcoming LP/CD/digital release Giving on Hometapes (August 2).
